TRIPS AND EXCURSIONS
FROM SUNNY BEACH
Sunny Beach
Plenty of trips and activities in the resort itself.
We recommend the jeep safari, off road adventure, pirate cruise, yacht cruises (from Nessebar harbour), scuba diving and snorkelling. A Bulgarian village night is also a must!

Sozopol
A real treat and a must visit on your holiday with 4000 years of history on view at this UNESCO World Heritage protected town. Old Nessebar is a maze of cobbled streets and traditional Bulgarian houses. There are ruins of over 40 churches to explore as well as a number of museums. Nessebar is home also to probably the best sea restaurants on the coast with everything caught locally and on show at the bustling harbour.

Bulgaria's third largest city and the unofficial capital of the Bulgarian coast. A very cosmopolitan city with great shopping (the best outside the Bulgarian capital of Sofia) chic bars and restaurants. Home also to the Varna Dolphinarium and the very impressive Varna Archeological Museum. One of the best operas in Bulgaria is based here also. Trips to the Aladhza Monastery which is built into the rocks, and the arts and crafts town of Dobrich can be taken from Varna.
Varna is a 2 hour trip on the regular and very cheap bus service from Sunny Beach.

Bulgaria's fourth largest town and the location of the famous Bourgas lakes nature reserve which attracts many bird watchers to the region. The 'Maritime Gardens' in the centre of town are well worth a visit and there are plenty of opportunites for dining and shopping in the squares and boulevards of the town.
Bourgas is a 40 minute trip on the bus from Sunny Beach.

Have dinner by the beach and breakfast in Istanbul!
A two day one night trip to this fascinating city can be booked for approximately 60 euros including hotel and sightseeing. Istanbul was once the largest city in Europe and is the gateway to Asia.

An ancient fishing village, Sozopol is the oldest greek colony on the black sea coast, which was founded in the 7th century. Its main attraction is its old town with its traditional houses - some of which are national monuments. Every September Sozoplol hosts the Apollonia Arts festival with opera, classical music and theatre performed throughout the toen.
Sozoplol is a short bus ride from Bourgas, or catch a boat from Nessebar!
